Foundation Friday: I'm back again with another fou Foundation Friday:
I'm back again with another foundation review, but this time, for a much less expensive option! Today, I'm reviewing the @lorealparis True Match Super-Blendable Foundation ($13.99 for 1 ounce - https://rstyle.me/+nOevbLQswElPlAyotko_vg) and want to thank @bzzagent for sending it my way to test out!

What it claims:
πŸ”˜ Formulated with up to 6 pigments for the most precise match
πŸ”˜ Locks in moisture & provides medium coverage with a natural finish that adapts to any skin color and texture
πŸ”˜ Super blendable - it's like you can't tell where your foundation ends & your skin begins
πŸ”˜ Includes a pump
πŸ”˜ Formulated without alcohol, fragrance, animal-derived ingredients

My verdict?
I was able to select the shade I received from a limited list and went with W3 Warm Light Medium. If I had all of the shades to choose from, I would have selected N3 or N4, both being listed as Neutral Light Medium. Thankfully, with a little blending down my neck (I still haven't self-tanned like I planned to) and strategic lighter concealer placement, I was able to make this shade work. Aside from that, everything else about this foundation was wonderful! The blendability, the coverage, the finish - and it lasted all day without settling into any lines, fading, or getting too oily in any area on my face! I would say it even performed similarly to the foundation I reviewed yesterday, so I will absolutely be keeping this in my collection instead of adding the much more expensive one! Have you tried this yet? If not, do you plan to?

Thursday Thoughts: I don't love foundation sample Thursday Thoughts:
I don't love foundation sample cards because the amount of product they give you is laughable. However, I do love mini foundation samples because I can, normally, get at least two (2) full wears out of it! Thankfully, that's what I got w/ the @diorbeauty Forever Skin Glow Radiant Foundation ($54 for 1 ounce - https://rstyle.me/+QhhFaapcYcPJK8LCpQQzaw) & that's what I'm reviewing today! Also, shoutout to the gray hair that really wanted to make their presence known in this photo! πŸ˜‚

What it claims:
πŸ”˜ Available in 42 shades
πŸ”˜ This new-generation foundation is heat- & humidity-resistant, delivers up to 24 hours of color-true wear & hydration, while also visibly reducing pores for a smooth & radiant-looking complexion
πŸ”˜ The packaging is recyclable & uses recycled materials
πŸ”˜ SPF 15
πŸ”˜ Medium-to-full coverage
πŸ”˜ 86% skincare ingredients to visibly improve skin over time

My verdict?
I have tested several @diorbeauty products in the past (https://katiesilsethblogs.com/?s=dior) &, as much as it pains me to say, have really enjoyed each of them & this was no exception! Of the limited options @sephora gave me when adding this free sample to my cart, I chose 2N (light skin with neutral tones). While it’s a little dark on my pale winter skin, I think it would be a great match when slightly self-tanned. As for the formula, since I went in sparingly to make sure I had enough to cover my entire face more than once, I got medium coverage & was pleased with that. Since my skin gets pretty dry in the winter, the radiant finish was exactly what I wanted & needed. This likely wouldn't work well for me in the middle of summer, but most summer foundations wouldn't work for me in the winter, so I won't hold that against it. I love that it contains SPF & ingredients that should improve my skin over time. It also lasted over fifteen (15) hours on my skin w/out breaking up - just getting a little shiny on my nose. Now, I have too many foundations already, so I won't be purchasing the full-size of this anytime soon, but I'll add it to my list for when I do need to replenish my collection!

πŸ”˜ @sunbum Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($18.49 for 6 ounces - https://rstyle.me/+9xfPihfX7fLN7VY92dzlfQ)

πŸ”˜ @benefitcosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil ($25 for .0002 ounces - https://rstyle.me/+-Cc431gRY9i6CYZ1uRpyAA)

First Impression Friday: While browsing through th First Impression Friday:
While browsing through the reward options on @sephora's website, I came across a mini of the @iliabeauty Fullest Volumizing Mascara ($28 for .32 ounces - https://rstyle.me/+SAknzSUel09564R_qjm_Hw) and, having never tried it and loving testing out mascaras that are new to me, I knew I needed to snatch it up!

What it claims:
πŸ”˜ A clean, volumizing mascara that wraps each lash in weightless, buildable volume without flaking, smudging, or irritating even the most sensitive eyes
πŸ”˜ The violin-shaped brush thickens and defines lashes from root to tip with fluffy, flexible fullness you can’t miss
πŸ”˜ It is also ophthalmologist tested and safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers
πŸ”˜ Cruelty-free
πŸ”˜ Clean at @sephora

My verdict?
In photo three (3), I am wearing one (1) coat on my right eye, in photo four (4), I am wearing two (2) coats on my right eye, and in photo one (1), I am wearing two (2) coats on both of my eyes. I was very close to calling this a "Friday Favorite," but, since I had only worn it twice, I didn't want to make that claim until I had given it several more uses. That being said, it's a really, really good mascara! I love the length it gives me, the lack of clumpiness it has, and its long-lasting, non-smudging or flaking qualities! I already have the full-size in my cart and can't wait to add it to my daily rotation!

Thursday Thoughts: I placed a large @madam_glam Bl Thursday Thoughts:
I placed a large @madam_glam Black Friday sale order and, as part of that haul, picked up their Super Busy! shade! Was I initially drawn to it because the name was fun? Yes! But did I actually order it because the color looked incredibly beautiful? Yes again!

For some reason, though, they stopped selling their brand anywhere but their own website and, because it wasn't as accessible to me then, I moved on. Try Out Tuesday: The @narsissist Soft Matte Comple Try Out Tuesday:
The @narsissist Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($32 for .21 ounces - https://rstyle.me/+rQlBn4X3W9LvLYp3E5S_sA) has been a favorite of so many beauty influencers for so many years, so I was shocked when I received this sample and realized I had never tried it! I am excited to give it a go and see if it lives up to the longstanding hype!

What it claims:
πŸ”˜ A full-coverage, oil-free concealer that conceals and blurs imperfections with a soft-matte, natural-looking finish
πŸ”˜ Contains Optimal Diffusion Powder, which transforms the look of skin by blurring imperfections with light-diffusing spheres
πŸ”˜ The formula delivers all-day wear and high coverage that’s non-cakey, and won’t settle into fine lines and pores
πŸ”˜ Free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, oil, mineral oil, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, and triclocarban, and contains less than one percent of synthetic fragrances
πŸ”˜ Vegan and gluten-free

My verdict?
I applied this under my eyes and down the center of my face using a brush to pick up and lay the product down and a damp sponge to blend it out. Since I saw a little bit of creasing almost right away, I did set it with loose setting powder. The shade I used, of the four (4) options available to me, was Vanilla Light 2 and it worked well. It blended out easily and the coverage was perfect. Unfortunately, with it being winter and my skin craving hydrating products over mattifying ones, I have noticed that on my chin and slightly under my eyes, the product looks quite dry and faded. This may be perfect for me in the summer, but, for right now, it's a pass.
