Thursday Thoughts – Blue mascara

February 29, 2024

Back in 2019, I posted a review on my blog of two (2) different blue colored mascaras – Urban Decay vs. Colourpop. The hands down winner was Urban Decay, but they don’t make that product anymore, so, when I saw that one of my current favorite mascara formulas from @maybelline now came in a blue version, I knew I had to test it out to see if I, not only, still liked colored mascara on me, but, also, if it was as good as or better than my previous go-to!

“…delivers full volume and limitless length. Exclusive Flex Tower mascara brush bends to volumize and extend every single lash from root to tip. Washable mascara formula infused with bamboo extract for long, full lashes with light as air feel. Allergy tested. Ophthalmologist tested. Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. Removes easily.”

You have seen me try this mascara in black and brown and I loved both of those, so when I saw they released a blue, I knew I had to try it! They also have limited edition burgundy and pink versions, so you know I picked those up, too and will review them soon! As for the blue, no surprise it gave me great length and separation. It also lasted all day and never smudged or flaked! The only reason I like it a little less than my previous favorite is because the blue doesn’t pop as much. Now, if you want a more subtle blue look, this may be perfect for you. For me, when I wear a blue mascara, I want it to be more bold! I plan to try stacking it on top of a white primer to see if that makes a difference. Either way, though, I still love the formula and think the blue is beautiful, so will absolutely wear this again and plan to repurchase when this runs out!
