First Impression Friday – Drybar Detox Gentle Sensitive Scalp Dry Shampoo

March 10, 2023

#Drybargiftedme their @thedrybar Detox Gentle Sensitive Scalp Dry Shampoo ($28 for 3.5 ounces – https://rstyle.me/+bmYtfNKH2yvo1riQXoGEQQ! While I am always incredibly grateful for products that are gifted to me, I especially love getting products that I run through as quickly as I do dry shampoo!

What it claims:
🔘 Gentle formula leaves hair looking and feeling clean and refreshed with added texture, while a probiotic complex helps soothe and relieve scalp discomfort
🔘 Absorbs excess oil and impurities without overdrying and leaves a soft, matte finish
🔘 Scalp-friendly scent & formula
🔘 Noir scent with notes of ginger, mint, and sandalwood
🔘 Paraben, sulfate, phthalate, gluten, and cruelty-free
🔘 Vegan

My verdict?
Photo one (1) is after using this product and photo (2) is the before – after two (2) days of not washing my hair or using any dry shampoo. There is quite a bit that I like about this! The scent is nice and powerful enough to cover up any unwashed hair smell, I have used it three (3) days in a row and my scalp is much less irritated than it would be had I used my normal preferred dry shampoo, and it does a great job of eliminating the appearance of any oily hair! Now, for the couple of things I don’t like. Since it’s so lightweight and gentle, it gives me none of the volume that I have come to expect (and enjoy). It’s also crazy expensive per ounce – which is saying a lot because I thought my current favorite was borderline too pricey at $32 for 6.3 ounces. So, if you have a very sensitive scalp and want soft, clean-looking hair from a high-end dry shampoo, this may be perfect for you. For me? I’ll use it up, but won’t purchase another with my own money – even if I find it on sale in the future.

FYI, I receive a small commission when you shop via the link listed above. There is no additional cost to you, but it supports me and my blog and I greatly appreciate it!
