Since Marc Jacobs Beauty went out of business and took my favorite water and tight line liner with them, I have been hunting for a replacement. A brand I hadn’t considered, but that was mentioned to me by a friend of mine, was @victoriabeckhambeauty. The reviews were spectacular, so I took the expensive risk and purchased their Satin Kajal Liner ($30 for .042 ounces – https://rstyle.me/+KXMT_wR9Ll0aHK7BP-TWNQ) in Black and Cocoa!
What it claims:
🔘 A highly-pigmented, ultra-creamy pencil with waterproof wear that lasts all day
🔘 Delivers rich, true colour payoff with a single stroke
🔘 Glides on with ease and blends seamlessly
🔘 Sets for smudge-free, waterproof, longwear staying power
🔘 Infused with Vitamin E, hydrating pro-vitamin B5, and calming chamomile
🔘 Sharpenable tip for precision application
There are things I don’t enjoy about this liner and they are the price, the fact that I have to sharpen it (although opting in for the purchase of the sharpener on the @victoriabeckhambeauty website doesn’t increase the price, so you basically get it free with purchase), and how creamy it is (it takes a few seconds to dry down and become smudge proof). There are also things I really do enjoy and they are the packaging (it feels like it could be all metal, so easier to recycle), the smudger, the color payoff, and the long wear. Now, when I say long wear with any other product, I am saying that it looks just as good, if not better, at the end of the day as it did at the beginning. With eyeliner in my water and tight line, that has and probably will never be the case, so my expectations are lower. That being said, the amount of wearing off I experienced was so minimal (which is saying a lot because I have watery eyes) and it only bunched up in the corners of my eyes a little bit. I will absolutely continue to purchase these, surprisingly, whether they’re on sale or not. Thank you so much to my friend for the recommendation!
