I’ve said it before, but mascara samples rate right up there near the top of my favorites to receive, so when I got the @caliray Come Hell or High Water Volumizing Tubing Mascara ($24 for .37 ounces at @sephora – https://rstyle.me/+txffd7eV46vjBEYrwWmyeg), having only heard one review on it on social media, I was excited to give it a go with really no preconceived notions!
What it claims:
🔘 The baby teddy bear brush has wavy fibers and a defined tip, giving separation and maximum coverage to pump up the volume
🔘 The formula has lash-conditioning argan oil and a creamy texture
🔘 Tubing tech means smudge-free wear but easy removal with warm water and a little lash massage
🔘 Comes in a 100% recycled ocean plastic tube
🔘 This product is vegan and cruelty-free
I haven’t tested many tubing mascaras in the past, so I never know what to expect, but this one definitely impressed me! In photo three (3), I am wearing one (1) coat on my right eye, in photo four (4), I am wearing two (2) coats on my right eye, and in photo five, I am wearing two (2) coats on both eyes. As you can see, the first coat did a great job of lengthening and separating my lashes. The second coat added a nice amount of volume. However, a lot of mascaras can give me length and volume, so what I focus a lot of my review on is how it wore. Did it flake? Smudge underneath my eyes? Did the curl disappear? Thankfully, I am happy to report that it looked just as good at the end of the day as it did at the start! Taking into account the ingredients and the fact that the brand uses recycled plastic, I will likely purchase the full size once this is gone!
