I love the way winged eyeliner looks, but it’s a makeup look that I just have never been able to master! Although practicing makes me anxious, occasionally I’ll get the urge to search the internet for the most user-friendly products to assist me in the process. On a day several months ago, I made my way to @sephora’s website after seeing rave reviews for the @meltcosmetics Ultra-Matte Gel Liner ($22 for .88 ounces – https://rstyle.me/+SHb4A8Oxsxm9A3ThbC-Tsg). I had planned on ordering Spliff (true brown), but it, along with Onyx (ultra-black), was sold out, so I ordered the only shade they had in stock – Burnish (rusty red-brown)!
What it claims:
🔘 An ultra-pigmented, stay-all-day gel liner that makes it easy to create clean graphic lines or can be blended out like a cream shadow
🔘 A long-wearing, waterproof gel liner that will last not only on your eyes but also in your makeup bag
🔘 The chic custom Melt jar will keep your creamy, ultra-pigmented gel liner just as creamy as the day you opened it
🔘 Free of parabens
🔘 Cruelty and gluten-free
As soon as I received this, I wanted to test it out. However, upon first look, having obviously not read the description thoroughly before I purchased it, I was surprised by the texture. I have tried several gel eyeliners in the past and the texture of those was much stiffer than this one. I assumed, incorrectly, that it had gone bad and that thought had me not pick it up again until I saw another review recently that showed their product looking exactly like mine! So, I decided to give it another go and I am so happy I did! The first photo was taken over twelve (12) hours into wear and it hadn’t budged at all! Plus, it was fairly easy to apply (which is saying a lot for me) and the color is beautiful. I plan to add the brown to my collection ASAP and can’t wait to wear this again!
