One of my favorite travel hacks is brow lamination. Before discovering it, I would just get my brows waxed before a trip and that would do me just fine, but getting them laminated instead cuts so much time off my makeup routine which is especially helpful when I’m going for work because my schedule is normally so jam packed! However, since getting them laminated doesn’t completely eliminate my need for a brow pencil, I am still always on the lookout for the highest performing for the best value option! So, during a recent @macys sale, I searched their most top-rated makeup and came upon the @kohgendo_official Eyebrow Pencil ($54 for .002 ounces – https://rstyle.me/+HXuvvC7jIC1YnpFj64HAug). It currently has a perfect 5-star rating with 26 reviews and, with that price tag, I needed to try it for myself!
What it claims:
🔘 Designed to create fine hair-like strokes, this ultra-slim pencil expertly fills in patchy areas and defines your arches with natural-looking color
🔘 Mineral pigments resist perspiration and oil, providing long-wearing coverage that won’t smudge or fade throughout the day
🔘 Signature T3 Oil and smoothing hydrolyzed silk condition your brow hairs as the pencil glides onto the skin without tugging
My verdict?
I purchased this in shade 02 Brown and thank goodness I was able to get it on sale because when full-price, it’s pretty shocking. Not only is it $54 for no more product than almost any other brand’s micro brow pencil, it doesn’t even come with a spoolie! Now, do my brows look good? Yes. Was it a breeze to apply, is the color great, and does it last all day? Unfortunately, also yes. But I refuse to pay $54 for a brow pencil. If I see it on deep discount again, I would snag a few, but if not, this is the first and last time it’ll be in my collection.
