Try Out Tuesday – LYS Beauty Triple Fix Brightening Concealer

May 24, 2022

I had a @sephora gift card that was burning a hole in my pocket and I was in the mood for a new concealer, so I browsed their website and came upon the @lysbeautyofficial Triple Fix Brightening Concealer ($18 for .18 ounces – https://rstyle.me/+hFOIVgpB9vUjPBlGO-yBkw). It had excellent reviews and claims that were exactly what I was looking for, so I added it to my cart and have been testing it in conjunction with a variety of other products ever since.

What it claims:
🔘 A luxuriously rich, ultra-creamy concealer that helps visibly brighten, conceal, and nourish the complexion with a skin-like finish
🔘 This flexible concealer satisfies the craving for coverage while adding a healthy, natural finish to the skin
🔘 It is designed to build and layer without settling into fine lines and pores
🔘 It is self-setting and designed with both the face and under-eye area in mind

My verdict?
I have used this on four (4) separate occasions, paired with various primers, foundations and setting powders and, each time, I am left not wowed. The first two (2) times, I set it with too much powder and I disliked it. The last two (2) times, I set it much more lightly and I was happy with how it looked, but found myself not excited to use it again. Part of that may be because it didn’t brighten as much as I hoped it would. I purchased shade LN6 (light nude light skin with neutral undertones) and I thought that would be light enough, but it wasn’t. I also didn’t find it to be full coverage – even after letting it sit for a bit before blending it out. Finally, the price, for the amount of product you get, is higher than every other one of my favorites, so I won’t repurchase this. It blends and hydrates well, so I will use it paired with other concealers until it’s gone.

FYI, I receive a small commission when you shop via the link listed above. There is no additional cost to you, but it supports me and my blog and I greatly appreciate it!
