I wasn’t planning to pick up the @onesize Turn Up The Base BBB Cream Beauty Blur Balm ($33 for 1 ounce – https://rstyle.me/+w7zTeFxli4pKJrwgUMJBYg) during the recent @sephora sale, so I didn’t. However, after the sale ended, I watched someone review this product and they raved about it, so I used points to save $10 and eagerly awaited its arrival on my doorstep!
What it claims:
🔘 This versatile formula combines the coverage of a foundation with the benefits of a BB cream
🔘 Buildable and breathable, it blurs visible texture for a soft-matte, second-skin finish
🔘 Medium coverage with a natural finish
🔘 Japanese White Rose Stem Cells: Quickly improve the appearance of skin tone and visibly minimize oil over time
🔘 Skin-Like Treated Pigments: Rapidly blur and feel like skin
🔘 Avocado and Mango Hydra-Blend: Boosts hydration for smooth-feeling skin
🔘 Vegan and cruelty-free
I have worn this two (2) times and paired it with mostly different products each time. The first time, I used a pore-filling primer and layered all cream color products on top. The second time, I used a moisturizing primer and layered all powder color products on top. Both times, the foundation performed beautifully. It blended well with both a brush and damp beauty sponge and provided me with high medium coverage. The first time, I experienced zero shine several hours into wear, but the second time, my t-zone oils began to show through around hour six (6) hours in. Both times, the foundation settled every so slightly into my frown lines, but it got better as my skin warmed up. After eight (8) hours of wear, there has been no fading and all products layered on top are still as rich in pigment as they were when I first applied them. Overall, I really enjoy this product when used in partnership with a more mattifying moisturizer or primer. It keeps me matte enough without making my skin look dry and cakey. I’m glad I picked this up because it’s a winner!
