Thank you, @nailtopiabeauty, for sending me one of your Mini Nail Lacquers!
What’s on my nails:
🔘 Base coat: @kbshimmer Basic Training ($6.50 for .5 ounces – https://www.kbshimmer.com/basic-training-nail-polish-base-coat/)
⚫️ A base coat that acts like double-sided sticky tape. It helps to create a long-lasting bond between the nail and polish. It also helps prevent staining.
🔘 Main color: @nailtopiabeauty Mini Nail Lacquer in Carat Cake ($5 for .17 ounces – https://rstyle.me/+ajknJ0a36C45CGdw9IdNHg)
🔘 Top coat: @kbshimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat ($6 for .5 ounces – https://rstyle.me/+kGUSp7ooCDQi2MuBH12bBA)
⚫️ Dries quickly, is super shiny, does not cause shrinkage with glitter nail polish, and does not yellow.
My verdict?
I was super excited to try this out because the bright, springy shade is exactly what I needed to distract me from yet another cold, windy, snowy day here in Minnesota! I love the miniature size – it will make it easier to travel with, if I ever wanted to do my nails on the road. The color is just as vibrant as I was expecting it to be and the brush applied it with ease – as the @nailtopiabeauty brush does so well. What I didn’t love was the opacity. It is a bright shade, so I definitely expected to need two (2) coats, but even after three (3) coats, I could still see some bare spots. You probably can’t see any in the photo, but I know they’re there. Since I have so many other oranges that I love more, I may pass this onto someone else. Not a bad lacquer by any stretch of the imagination, just not my favorite in this color family or from @nailtopiabeauty.
FYI, I receive a small commission when you shop via some of the links listed above. There is no additional cost to you, but it supports me and my blog and I greatly appreciate it!
