On any given day, you will find me wearing warm-toned neutral eyeshadows. However, when I am feeling a little more colorful, I always reach for purple! Although I do have other purple palettes, I just can’t resist the good deals @colourpopcosmetics always has, so picked up the Orchid You Not Shadow Palette ($14 – https://rstyle.me/+Pgu_dY0T8F0kf3Ah37rKjw) to add to my collection!
What it claims:
🔘 We’re not kidding about this vibrant orchid-inspired palette!
🔘 Features 9 highly pigmented pressed powder shades in lilacs, violets, grapes, magentas, and plums with buttery matte and shimmering metallic finishes
🔘 Feel the floral in these rich shades of our Orchid You Not Palette!
My verdict?
In photo one (1), I used shades Rebloom, Ada, Pretty One, Seedling and Nuh Uh and I was impressed with all of them! The mattes had excellent pigment, but still blended out easily and the shimmers packed a punch when applied with my finger (not so much with a dry brush, but that’s common with shimmers and glitters). I also experienced very little fall out, which likely had something to do with using my favorite eye primer as a base (https://katiesilsethblogs.com/index.php/2021/02/19/first-impression-friday-ultabeauty-matte-eye-primer/). The look lasted all day (the first photo was taken over nine (9) hours into wear) and night, so taking that and everything else I mentioned into account, I would definitely recommend this palette!
