Thursday Thoughts – P•O•P Polish Maybe This Time

August 19, 2021

As I have mentioned several times before, my love of painting my nails at home only got stronger when I discovered the vast world of independent nail polish brands! As someone who has made a more conscious effort to shop small recently, when I get the urge to add to my collection, I first look at those brands. That way of thinking brought me to @etsy and then to @pop_and_polished!

What’s on my nails:
🔘 Base coat: @orly Bonder ($10 for .6 ounces –
⚫️ Grips nail lacquer to the nail surface for lasting adhesion
🔘 Color: @pop_and_polished Maybe This Time ($10 for .51 ounces –
⚫️ Described as a “micro glitter bomb”
🔘 Top coat: @sechenails Dry Fast Top Coat ($9.95 for .5 ounces –
⚫️ When you apply it to your nail color it penetrates all the way down to the nail bed to create a bond so strong that you can truly forget about your nail color chipping or peeling

My verdict?
It isn’t often that I have high expectations that are exceeded, but that is exactly the case with this brand and this shade in particular! As you can tell, it perfectly lives up to its “micro glitter bomb” description and I was shockingly able to get this amount of sparkle coverage in only two (2) coats! Also, while I would have complimented this polish no matter how long it had lasted on my nails, this photo was taken four (4) days into wear and I have only one (1) small chip on my thumb. Indie brand, stunning shade and long-lasting?! I’m so glad I didn’t buy just one (1)!

If you order through my links, make sure you also use @rakuten to get hassle-free cash back:
