Mani Monday – Nail Hoot Indie Lacquers Cutie Pie

June 7, 2021

I was planning on today being the third and final day showing you the @nailhoot polishes I got in PR (see my two (2) previous posts here: As you can see, I am definitely posting about the third polish I received, but I must correct how I received them. As you may recall, a group of fellow beauty bloggers and myself have been doing the occasional “Secret Santa” gift exchange. Normally, notes are included in shipments so that you know a package was sent for this reason. Unfortunately, this package didn’t come with a note, so I assumed it was PR. I was finally notified that it wasn’t and my immediate thought was to change my other posts so that I wasn’t embarrassed that I got it wrong. Then I thought, it’s a decently funny story, so keep those as is and just clarify in the final post. So, here is the final post, showing off the goodies I got from my “Secret Santa,” @mandyvoss!

What’s on my nails:
🔘 Base coat: @orly Bonder ($10 for .6 ounces –
🔘 Color: @nailhoot Cutie Pie ($8.25 for .51 ounces –
⚫️ Described as “…an adorable blue raspberry aqua shade tricked out with sparkling gold, white, and scattered holographic glitters that’s destined to catch your attention”
🔘 Top coat: @sechenails Dry Fast Top Coat ($9.95 for .5 ounces –

My verdict?
Of the three (3) shades I received, I’ll be honest, this caught my eye last. However, now that I have it on my nails, I am pretty sure it’s my favorite! It’s incredibly unique to my collection and feels perfect on a day like today when it’s going to get 95 degrees here in Minnesota! The coverage you see was achieved in two (2) coats. Overall, I have enjoyed my experience with @nailhoot. The only con has been the wear time, which is only a couple of days before I experience chipping.

FYI, I receive a small commission when you shop via some of the links listed above. There is no additional cost to you, but it supports me and my blog and I greatly appreciate it!
