It’s been a while since I had tested a new foundation, so I was super excited when I got a sample of the @tomfordbeauty Traceless Soft Matte Foundation ($88 for 1 ounce – https://rstyle.me/+jgQPISPR_8j8NhQg7bMm5A)!
What it claims:
🔘 This formula stays color-true for up to 10 hours and resists fading
🔘 Traceless Soft Matte Foundation provides a matte finish without looking cakey or dry
🔘 Soft-focus microsphere powders blur the look of imperfections, and wear-extending pigments provide medium-full, buildable coverage that lasts all day without settling
🔘 Skin still looks and moves like skin and feels smoother over time—even after foundation has been removed
🔘 This formula is also humidity- and sweat-resistant, dermatologist tested, non-comedogenic, and is designed for all skin types
My verdict?
This is a good foundation. It blends easily and sits nicely on the skin for the first several hours. I also greatly appreciated the sample size because I was able to wear this three (3) separate times in order to form a well-researched opinion. Unfortunately, it didn’t keep me as matte as I would have liked and it sank into the fine lines on my forehead and between my eyebrows. If this were a lot less expensive, I would consider purchasing in order to see if I could make it work with other products underneath, but with the price it is, that definitely won’t be something I do.
