Mani Week Day #1 – @Pahlish Toxic Jungle

April 4, 2021

Welcome to seven (7) days of manicures! I have been obsessed with painting my nails at home, so I saved up photos of what’s been on my nails over the past few months to post for an entire week! If this series goes well, I will absolutely plan to do it again in the future – so let me know if you like it!

What’s on my nails:

🔘 Base coat: @orly Bonder ($10 for .6 ounces –

⚫️ Grips nail lacquer to the nail surface for lasting adhesion

🔘 Color: @pahlish Toxic Jungle ($12 for .5 ounces –

⚫️ Described as a “bright emerald green with dense green/blue shifting microflakes”

🔘 Top coat: @sechenails Dry Fast Top Coat ($9.95 for .5 ounces –

⚫️ When you apply it to your nail color it penetrates all the way down to the nail bed to create a bond so strong that you can truly forget about your nail color chipping or peeling

My verdict?

I am so incredibly obsessed with this shade! The first coat was a little sheer, but I achieved complete opacity in two (2) coats. As for longevity, I have had it on for four (4) days and have experienced zero chipping. Is that partly because of the polish? Yes. Does it also have to do with the base and top coat I used? Absolutely. I highly recommend both the base and top coat, as they have been the reason my manicures have been so flawless as of late. The only real issue is that this shade is currently sold out! However, of the two (2) polishes I’ve tried from this brand, both have been amazing, so it’s safe to assume that you’ll be getting fantastic quality with any you purchase.
