Friday Favorites – At-home manicure must-haves

October 16, 2020

As you may have noticed, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying doing my nails at home! It’s cheaper (well, it will be as soon as I stop buying all of the supplies), I can work around my schedule and can change the color as often as I want! I’m still nowhere near a pro, but I already have several products I can’t imagine doing my at-home manicures without!

🔘 100% Acetone Nail Polish Remover ($4.49 for 9 ounces –

💅🏻 A good nail polish remover is a necessity! I’ll be trying another brand once these are gone, but I did enjoy them both.

🔘 @sunuvled UV LED Lamp (normally $49.99, but currently on sale for $39.99 –

💅🏻 I have posted about this a lot recently and for good reason – it’s an excellent gel polish lamp!

🔘 Nail clips ($17.49 for 100 pieces –

💅🏻 These are an absolute must if you remove your own gel nail polish at home!

🔘 @sally_hansen Instant Cuticle Remover ($6.99 for 1 ounce –

💅🏻 This is such an excellent product and I truly think it makes my manicures look like they could have been professionally done!

🔘 Nail buffer (similar product for $3.49 –

💅🏻 This gets my nails smooth in preparation for polish and I couldn’t do my nails without it!

🔘 @opi pH Bond ($28.95 as part of a set –

💅🏻 This helps to balance the pH and remove any surface oils on the nail before application.

🔘 @tweezerman Dual Sided Pushy ($14.16 –

💅🏻 Use this in conjunction with a cuticle remover and your nails will have never looked better!

🔘 @madam_glam Base and No Wipe Top Coat (

💅🏻 I haven’t tried many gel base and top coats, but these are easy to use and make my polish last such a long time!

🔘 Cuticle oils

💅🏻 I have begun using cuticle oils religiously and my nails have been thanking me for it! The two (2) I am the most fond of are from @sechenails ( and @flowerynails (
