Worth the Hype Wednesday – @rarebeauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush

September 16, 2020

I was *this close* to buying the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush ($20 for .25 ounces – from @selenagomez’s newly released makeup line, @rarebeauty, when I saw that @sephora was offering a sample size with the use of a promo code, so I jumped at the chance to spend no money testing out something I’ve seen rave reviews on!

What it claims:

🔘 Create a pinch-perfect flush using this featherweight formula infused with long-lasting pigments that last all day

🔘 Available in matte or dewy finishes, this liquid blush blends beautifully to create soft, buildable color with a natural, second-skin finish

🔘 Free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan and triclocarban and contains less than one percent of synthetic fragrances

🔘 This product is also vegan and cruelty-free

My experience:

🔘 I applied it with a @beautyjunkees duo fiber brush after my foundation, concealer and cream bronzer, but before all of my powder products.

🔘 This blush comes in eight (8) shades, four (4) have a radiant finish and four (4) have a matte finish. I received the shade Grace, which is described as a “matte bright rose mauve.”

👍🏻 The color is beautiful! Honestly, if I were to have purchased a full-size, it would have either been this shade or Joy, one of the radiant blushes.

👍🏻 So little is needed in order to make a bold statement, so the price per use is very low.

👍🏻 This photo was taken immediately after application, but I wore it for over twelve (12) hours on Monday and it never faded or got patchy.

My verdict?

I love this formula! From the shade to the pigment to the lasting power, it’s an absolute winner! Plus, it’s more than an acceptable price point for something that should last you as long as this will. I look forward to trying one of the radiant finishes next!

FYI, I receive a small commission when you shop via the links listed above. There is no additional cost to you, but it supports me and my blog and I greatly appreciate it!
