Another mascara sample in an unnecessary @sephora order means another Mascara Monday! Today, I’m testing out the @guccibeauty Mascara L’Obscur ($35 for .21 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bk2VG).
What it claims:
🔘 A buildable mascara created with the ultimate formulation for a customized look—from classic to bold
🔘 The flexible elastomer brush ensures ultimate comfort and ease of application while the thin brush tip is designed to catch the smallest lashes at the top and bottom corners of the eyes
🔘 This mascara delivers a long-wearing finish of up to 12 hours
🔘 Free of sulfates SLS and SLES and parabens
My experience:
🔘 Photo 3 shows one (1) coat on my right eye. Photo 4 shows two (2) coats on my right eye. Photo 5 shows two (2) coats on both of my eyes.
👍🏻 Brushes like this one allow me to get separation and definition, which is what I am ultimately looking for. No matter how many coats I do, it prevents my lashes from getting clumpy.
👍🏻 As you can tell, a single coat didn’t do much, but this builds very nicely and gives me a great amount of length and curl.
👍🏻 The look I achieved immediately after application is the look I experienced all day long.
👎🏻 Unfortunately, this smudges slightly under my eyes as the day progresses.
My verdict?
This is a great mascara, but I am somewhat happy that it smudges under my eyes so that I don’t have to feel the need to spend $35 every time I need to purchase a replacement. Do note, however, that my sister thoroughly enjoys this mascara and so do nearly 500 reviewers on the @sephora website. So, even though it doesn’t work perfectly for me, if you don’t find yourself struggling with under eye transfer normally, this may work out perfectly for you!
