Ever since getting brow lamination for the first time with @nikirobisonbrows, I have been kind of obsessed with the feathered brow trend. So, when I saw such a unique product in the @patricktabeauty Major Brow Shaping Wax ($22 for .17 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bksCG), I knew I had to see if it would help me achieve that look I loved so much every day!
What it claims:
🔘 An innovative defining wax that will maximize the shape of your brows
🔘 Strong yet flexible, a few upward strokes of this formula tames and sets even the most stubborn brows into a perfectly pushed-up, feathered, and full look
My experience:
🔘 This product comes in two (2) shades – Clear and Tinted. I purchased Clear.
🔘 Each time I use this, I first spray the pan with setting spray in order to make the wax more easily picked up on a spoolie.
🔘 With a clean spoolie, I massage it into the product to fully coat the applicator before applying it to my brows.
👍🏻 This product goes on smoothly and does a really great job of giving me the feathered eyebrow look I so desire!
🔘 I read that @patrickta pushes the brows up against the skin once they have been feathered into place, so I have used that method the last few times using this product.
👎🏻 Unfortunately, I was never able to get the results I achieved in the morning to last all day.
My verdict?
As I mentioned in a previous post, a product can be great, but if it doesn’t last for the amount of time I traditionally wear my makeup for (12-16 hours), I can’t consider keeping it in my collection long-term. The look I can get from this is exactly what I want, but it doesn’t last more than a couple of hours. For me, that’s unacceptable and, because of that, I won’t be repurchasing.
If you have this product, did you experience this same outcome? If not, and you love it because it works so well, please let me know what I’m doing wrong!
