Sometimes I buy a product for the packaging, other times it’s for the hype, most of the time it’s because it’s on sale and sometimes, just sometimes, it’s because it actually looks like it’ll work really for me. In this case, I purchased the @fentybeauty Match Stix Matte Contour Skinstick ($25 for .25 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bkqVO) for all of those reasons!

My experience:
🔘 I purchased the shade Amber and it’s described as a “contour shade with cool undertones.”
👍🏻 This shade is a perfect cool-toned contour shade for my skintone.
👍🏻 I love the packaging. It’s travel-friendly, sleek, unique and the fact that you can connect other Match Stix to it is really innovative!
👍🏻 I absolutely agree that the shape and size make it easy to be precise and that’s important when it comes to contouring.
👍🏻👎🏻 Because it’s matte, it’s slightly more difficult to blend out. I would suggest working in small sections around your face so that it doesn’t dry down, making it nearly impossible to blend out entirely.
👍🏻 Sometimes I go a little overboard with bronzer, so it is nice to have a line in place that I create with the contour stick to keep me from bringing that darkness too low.
👍🏻 I find that it lasts all day on my skin.
My verdict?
While I stand by all of the points I made above, I still wouldn’t repurchase this product when it runs out. Why? Unfortunately, my routine is quite lengthy already and I have discovered that using both contour and bronzing products is unnecessary for me. Bronzing gives me the complete look I desire, so there is no need to incorporate a product specific to contouring. I will, however, enjoy my time using it up!
