Thursday Thoughts – @BurtsBees Blush in Bare Peach

July 16, 2020

I was so impressed with the @burtsbees Blush in Velvet Wine (go to my post from May 26 to see my dedicated review on that shade) that I knew I needed to pick up a more neutral shade to see if the quality was consistent across the board! Today, I’m reviewing Bare Peach ($9.49 for .19 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bkeQs).

What it claims:

🔘 100% natural, lightweight mineral Blush Makeup adds radiance to enhance your cheeks’ natural glow

🔘 Applies and blends easily and evenly to create natural looks on many skin tones; perfect for everyday wear

🔘 Available in 5 luminous shades

🔘 Formulated without parabens, phthalates, SLS, petrolatum or synthetic fragrances; dermatologist tested; not tested on animals

🔘 Bamboo, Honey and Vitamin E nourish skin and enhance your natural glow for beautiful results, inside and out

My experience:

🔘 Bare Peach is described as “a warm peach hue ideal for adding radiance to fair to tan skin tones.”

👍🏻 In the photo, I had been wearing the blush, without touch-ups, for over ten (10) hours.

👍🏻 Honestly, I didn’t realize how luminous the blush was until I swatched it on my hand. In my opinion, it doesn’t show up as glowy on the cheeks as it did on my palm.

👍🏻 When I use Velvet Wine, I must use a very, very light hand because it’s dark and quite pigmented. With Bare Peach, however, you can be a bit heavier handed because it’s lighter in tone and not as pigmented. That would be helpful especially for people new to makeup or just new to blush.

👍🏻 It’s a perfect no-makeup makeup day blush shade because, on my skintone, it provides a really natural flushed look.

My verdict?

It is natural, a beautiful shade, lasts all day and is on the more affordable side, so I absolutely recommend this blush in either this shade or any of the other four (4) available on the @burtsbees website!
