Skincare Saturday – @soapandglory Call of Fruity Paradise Glossed Moisturizing Body Oil

June 27, 2020

I’ll admit to being drawn in by packaging because that’s exactly why I purchased this @soapandgloryusa Call of Fruity Paradise Glossed Moisturizing Body Oil ($13.99 for 5 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bjqFb)!

What it claims:

🔘 Dry skin sending out an SOS? Then glisten up, ladies! Soap & Glory’s Call Of Fruity Paradise Glossed is a nourishing, lightweight and luxurious body oil that is packed with coconut and almond oils, for satin-soft skin that positively glistens

🔘 It’s fragranced with Soap & Glory’s new CALL OF FRUITY exotic scent-sation (Cedar, Melon, Hibiscus)

🔘 Contains skin-softening Vitamin E

🔘 Not tested on animals

My experience:

👍🏻 I enjoy the price. It’s tolerable for something of this size and with the claims it makes.

👍🏻 The scent is really nice and tropical.

👍🏻 I have used this on my legs, chest and arms and I will say I definitely feel pretty dang moisturized after using it.

👍🏻 The glow is that of hydration and not shimmer, so if you are tired of hydrating products that contain glitter, this may be perfect for you.

👎🏻 It may be because every time I’ve used this it’s been hot and humid outside, but nothing feels lightweight about this product. It’s called a moisturizing body oil and that’s exactly what it feels like all over my body after applying.

My verdict?

Even though the scent is fantastic and it does leave my skin feeling hydrated and glowy, I just don’t think this is right for my skin during the Minnesota summers. I look forward to trying it again once the temperature cools down and my skin dries up a bit, but, for now, it’s going back on the shelf.

FYI, I receive a small commission when you shop via the links listed above. There is no additional cost to you.
