As you may have seen in my recent post about what I received in my @hudabeauty Mystery Bundle, included were two (2) of her Demi Matte Cream Liquid Lipsticks. While I’ll be including Sheikha in an upcoming giveaway, I kept Passionista ($20 for .12 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bja6I) and that’s what I put to the test today!
What it claims:
π A highly-comfortable, hydrating cream lipstick that sets to a velvety, satin finish that lasts throughout the day
π Saturated in pigment, the creamy texture glides on with an intense color release from the first swipe, creating a lacquer-like sheen which highlights and enhances the natural contours of your lips
π Formulated with a hint of menthol, specially designed to deliver a temporary cooling effect and tingling sensation that leaves the lips looking fuller
π The formula is also enriched with Maxi-lipβ’, which supports natural collagen and hydrates the lips
My experience:
ππ» Passionista is described as “an audacious bright pink with blue nuances” and I absolutely love it! It’s much more vibrant than the lip products I normally gravitate to, but it’s good to switch it up every now and then!
ππ» The pigmentation is very impressive. A single dip in the tube can cover both of my lips entirely.
ππ» I really enjoy the applicator because it’s small enough to be very precise, but large enough to hold the perfect amount of product.
ππ» I love the finish.
ππ» Most pigmented, non-matte lipstick formulas get all over my teeth immediately after application (and then throughout the entire day). I was super impressed that this never did that!
ππ» The wear time is better than almost every other non-matte lipstick formula I’ve tried.
π It is not transfer-proof, but I didn’t expect it to be.
ππ» Each time I’ve worn this, I experience feathering outside of my lip lines. It’s not dramatic, but enough to notice and mention.
My verdict?
There is so much I love about this formula! The color, applicator, comfort, wear time – all great! I’m a little nervous about the bleeding, but a lip liner may fix that. Overall, I would recommend!
