In another episode of “Testing Out Dry Shampoos: The Story of Katie Robison, Master of Not Washing Hair,” I am giving @batiste_us Rose Gold Dry Shampoo ($8.99 for 6.73 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bihfi) a go!
What it claims:
🔘 Instantly makes your hair feel clean, fresh, and with added body and texture
🔘 The waterless formula targets excess oil and grease at the roots
🔘 Locks in a pretty, delicate with hints of bergamot, rose, and freesia
🔘 Just spray in, massage, style, and go
🔘 Vegan friendly
🔘 Formulated without parabens, sulfates, aluminum, silicone, and dyes
My experience:
🔘 I have used this on anywhere from day one (1) hair to day four (4) hair.
👍🏻 I had used @batiste_us in the past with positive results, but I had never tried this scent and I know that different scents may perform differently from one another.
👍🏻 The scent is strong and I like it, but I don’t love it. It also lingers for a decent amount of time and seems to reduce the unwashed hair scent.
👍🏻 It leaves a bit of a white cast, but as I have said many times before, I like that because I want to know where I already placed the product so I don’t waste any going over the same area twice.
👍🏻 It did a good job of reducing the appearance of oils and that look lasted most of the day.
My verdict?
While this didn’t take the place of my favorite dry shampoo (https://shopstyle.it/l/bihgl), considering the performance for the price, I would still absolutely recommend it. While the strong scent may be a deterrent for some, if that doesn’t bother you, I think you would be very pleased with this product. I may not repurchase this scent specifically, but I plan to purchase other scents in the future.
If you use or have used @batiste_us Dry Shampoo with favorable results in the past, what is/was your favorite scent?
