Who doesn’t love a good body cream sample?! Today, I’m testing out the @theouai Body Crème ($38 for 7.5 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bhMKR).
What it claims:
🔘 This whipped Body Crème renews skin with nurturing cupuaçu butter, hydrating coconut oil, and skin-conditioning squalane
🔘 The fresh yet seductive fragrance, SYIBUYA, conjures notes of Mediterranean citrus, warm spices, rose, violet and white musk
🔘 Free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan and triclocarban
🔘 Cruelty-free and gluten-free
My experience:
👍🏻 I enjoy @theouai’s packaging. It’s simple and classy – perfect for shelfies.
👎🏻 I don’t like the scent. I love the traditional scent of their products, so I had high hopes that this would be the same, but it isn’t. Even if this was an excellent moisturizer (spoiler alert), I probably wouldn’t buy a full size because I have others I thoroughly enjoy the smell of.
👎🏻 This just doesn’t do a great job of hydrating. I have tried it on my legs, my arms, my nieces’ arms and my hands and they all just felt a normal amount of moisturized. Nothing special.
My verdict?
I had such high hopes for this product, but I was really let down. I don’t think it smells good, it definitely doesn’t do an excellent job of moisturizing and it’s expensive. For those reasons, obviously, I won’t be purchasing the full size.
