Welcome to another installment of Katie tests out all the dry shampoos that have ever existed! Today, it’s the @haskhair Charcoal Purifying Dry Shampoo ($7.99 for 6.5 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bhqfS)!
What it claims:
🔘 This lightweight, ultra-fine rice starch formula is infused with charcoal powder to help soak up oil, sweat and odor, leaving hair feeling soft and purified
🔘 Infused with a botanical citrus scent
🔘 Free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten and artificial colors
My experience:
🔘 I have used this on several occasions – both on barely oily hair and on nearly week unwashed hair.
👍🏻👎🏻 The scent is really pleasant. It’s not overpowering and doesn’t linger. Unfortunately, while that may be nice for people with sensitivities to perfumes, for me, I would rather it linger and assist with my hair not smelling the best several days in.
👍🏻 It leaves no residue, so if you are someone that hates the white cast that dry shampoo can leave, you may like this one.
👍🏻👎🏻 It did a good job of reducing the appearance of oils in my hair. Not an excellent job, but far from a bad job.
My verdict?
For the price, this is a pretty good dry shampoo and I don’t say that about a lot of the ones I’ve tried. It’s not nearly as strong as I would like and my preference would be that it gives me more volume, but if you’ve been looking for something lighter, inexpensive and functional, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
