Oh, how good it feels to wear makeup after not wearing it for a couple of days! Today, I’m testing out a sample I got of the @beautyblender The Leveler Pore Minimizing Primer ($32 for 1 ounce – https://shopstyle.it/l/bfgRm)!
What it claims:
๐ This skin-smoothing primer contains niacinamide to help blur the appearance of redness, large pores, and uneven texture
๐ High-performance silicones glide over skin and create a humidity-proof barrier to minimize shine and lock makeup in place for all-dayโor all-nightโwear
๐ Free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, and triclocarban, and contains less than one percent of synthetic fragrances
๐ This product is also cruelty-free and gluten-free
My experience:
๐ I received a sample of the shade “Light/Medium.” It comes in two (2) shades and the other is “Tan/Deep.”
๐ I used it under my foundation on the entire right side of my face.
๐๐ป The texture is really nice. It definitely feels like something that could fill your pores, but it was also creamy and worked into my skin with ease.
๐ I wore it for over fifteen (15) hours, checking my face frequently to see how it was performing in comparison to the non-primed side of my face.
๐๐ป Early in the day, I could tell a slight difference in the smoothness of the right side of my face.
๐๐ป As the day went on, both sides began to look identical. They got the same amount of oily (which wasn’t a ton), appeared the same amount of even and wore for the same length of time.
My verdict?
Even though I like how this feels on my skin and did enjoy the initial smoothing out it gave me, the fact that, for a majority of the day, it performed identically to the un-primed side of my face means I won’t be purchasing the full size.
