Included in the massively fabulous giveaway I won from @carrieannekv was this @kosas Mixed Metals Trio 10-Second Eyeshadow ($58, but an $84 value for the trio – https://shopstyle.it/l/beGF6 or $28 each – https://shopstyle.it/l/beGGd) and, as a shiny eyelid fan, I couldn’t wait to try them out!
What it claims:
๐ A clean, water-based, fast-drying, crease-resistant formula, for buildable, high-impact color that stays all day
๐ Galactoarabinan: Smooths the appearance of skin and supports cell renewal
๐ Jojoba Oil: Soothes and balances
๐ Orange Flower Water: Brightens and tones
๐ This product is vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free
My experience:
๐ I used this product for the first time today and I went with Globe, described as a neutral champagne shade.
๐ I applied it directly to my lid with the applicator and then finessed it into place with both an eye shadow brush and my finger.
๐๐ป The shade is stunning and it went on without any patchiness. It also stayed blendable for long enough for me to get it exactly where I wanted it to be.
๐ I kept my eyes closed for 30 seconds in order to ensure it dried before I put irreversible creases in it.
๐๐ป I have been wearing this for six (6) hours now and it hasn’t creased at all, which is abnormal for my eyelids. I’ll update on my Stories later tonight to let you know if it was crease proof all day.
My verdict?
I absolutely love the idea of products like this and actually own several. However, since so many eye shadow palettes contain glitter, shimmer and metallic shades, I rarely grab for additional products to use outside of palette I chose to wear that day. Knowing that about myself, I chose not to swatch the shades Supreme and Astronaut because I will be putting them in an upcoming giveaway! However, if you have been looking for something like this that’s vegan and cruelty-free, I definitely recommend you pick up a shade or two!
