Mascara Monday – @Itcosmetics x @theDrybar Lash Blowout Mascara

March 9, 2020

I had been wanting to try the @itcosmetics Lash Blowout Mascara ($25 for .24 ounces – ever since it was released, so when I got a free deluxe-sized sample of it, I was more excited than I’d like to admit!

What it claims:

🔘 A biotin-infused, volumizing mascara developed in partnership with Drybar

🔘 Inspired by the technology used to create Drybar® barrel brushes, this mascara’s specially-designed wand features microspheres to gently catch all of your lashes for beautiful separation, lift, and volume

🔘 The clump-free, flake-free formula’s saturated black pigment helps create a bold lash look

🔘 Free of parabens and contains less than one percent of synthetic fragrances

My experience:

🔘 Photo three (3) is with one (1) coat on my right eye. Photo four (4) is with two (2) coats on my right eye. Photo five (5) is with two (2) coats on both eyes.

👍🏻 As you can tell, this mascara did a great job of curling, lengthening and volumizing (without clumping)!

👍🏻 I have worn this on several occasions and the look you see remains, for me, throughout the entire day.

👍🏻👎🏻 Unfortunately, I experienced a very slight amount of smudging on my under eye well into my day during a couple of the wears. So, if you are prone to smudging, you may experience the same thing.

My verdict?

As a huge fan of @itcosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara (, I had high hopes for this product. Plus, the packaging on the full-size is adorable, so my fingers were extra crossed that I would love it. But, while I am obsessed with the way it makes my lashes look, I am a bit hesitant because of the smudging. I will continue to use this on my upper lashes, but will use something else on my lowers. Because of that additional hassle, I may not purchase in the future.

FYI, I receive a small commission when you shop via the links listed above. There is no additional cost to you.
