This time of year, moisturization is key and serums are a very important piece to the puzzle of staying hydrated. So, when I get a sample from a brand I have never tried in an amount that I can actually get multiple uses out of, I jump for joy! Today, I am testing out the @idewcare Bright Side Up Brightening Vitamin C Serum ($25 for 1.01 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bdsDl).
What it claims:
🔘 This lightweight, jelly formula gives skin a plumper-look
🔘 It’s packed with nourishing Vitamin E and B5, plus antioxidant-rich grapefruit to bring dull skin back to the bright side
🔘 Cruelty-free
🔘 Can be used on all skin types
🔘 Formulated without parabens, sulfates, phthalates or silicones
My experience:
👍🏻 Obviously, I find the packaging adorable. Samples are great, but mini versions of their full-size selves are the best.
👍🏻 The scent is pleasant, but light and doesn’t linger.
👍🏻👎🏻 It says to apply 1-2 drops all over your face and neck. However, that must be the full-size instructions because I needed 4-5 drops to cover the entire area.
👍🏻 As the mention of “jelly” in the description would insinuate, this leaves a somewhat tacky feeling on your skin. I really enjoy that because I think it creates a perfect base for whatever you put over top (whether it just be moisturizer or foundation, too).
👍🏻 It sinks in beautifully and gives my skin a really nice glow.
My verdict?
Since I had never tried anything from this brand and didn’t often hear reviews (positive or negative), I didn’t expect much from this product, but I’m happy to report that I really enjoy it! Plus, I would consider it fairly affordable, so that just adds to my excitement! Once I have used up the other few serums I have in rotation right now, I will absolutely be purchasing the full size.
