Without a doubt, brows have to be the most time-consuming part of my full face of makeup process. So, when I get a sample of a product that claims I can get the brows I wish I had been born with, I instantly take notice! Today, I am testing out the @urbandecaycosmetics Brow Endowed Brow Volumizer Primer + Color (normally $28, but currently on sale for $14 for .27 ounces at @ultabeauty – https://shopstyle.it/l/bdnii).
What it claims:
🔘 Like a teasing comb and hairspray for your brows
🔘 Use the soft-hold primer to amp up volume and the tinted brow cream to intensify
🔘 The long-lasting formula resists sweat and smudging for up to 24 hours
My experience:
🔘 The sample I received was of shade “Brunette Betty” and it’s described as a medium brown. If I had purchased it myself, I likely would have either gone with the one I got (which would have been a mistake because it’s too warm-toned for my preference) or “Brown Sugar,” which is described as a soft medium brown.
🔘 I first applied the primer (duh) and it dispersed quite a bit of product, so I had to take a clean mascara brush and remove some of the excess.
👎🏻 As with almost every tinted brow product I’ve tried (and there have been many), the brush is too long. It makes it almost impossible to get a precise application.
👎🏻 In my opinion, the tint didn’t look at all natural – it was quite patchy. Perhaps my eyebrows are not thick enough for a product like this to work well.
👎🏻 In order to make my brows look presentable, I filled them in with a pencil and set them with a clear brow gel.
My verdict?
If you couldn’t already tell by my comments above, I did not like this product. It was too pigmented, the brush wasn’t precise enough and the price is quite high (when not on sale). I will not be purchasing the full size.
FYI, I receive a small commission when you shop via the link listed above. There is no additional cost to you.
