Try Out Tuesday – @IGK_HAIR Beach Club Volumizing Texture Spray

Considering it’s the middle of winter here in Minnesota, it seemed only fitting to test out a product that reminds me of the beach – both in name and in scent. Today, I am trying out the @igkhair Beach Club Volumizing Texture Spray ($14 for 1.7 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bc8Hf, $29 for 5 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bc8Hm or $25 for the gift set I purchased – https://shopstyle.it/l/bc8HB).

What it claims:

🔘 Gentle enough to use daily and on color treated hair

My experience:

🔘 Photo four (4) is my hair after brushing only – no additional product.

👍🏻 I love the packaging – just like I do with all @igkhair products I’ve seen.

👍🏻 The scent is strong and does linger, but I love it so much that I prefer it lasts a long time.

👍🏻 I like the volume and texture this gave me all over my hair, but I especially like what it did for my bangs. They now stay out of my face, but not in the way hairspray would keep them in place. It’s the effortless, beachy (go figure) look that I live for.

👍🏻 I didn’t have to spray much to get this look. I focused the product mostly on my bangs and the lengths of my hair, with a little bit on the roots.

👍🏻 You can definitely feel that you have product in your hair, but I don’t find it to be crunchy or tangled. Also, since you’ll have that gritty feeling all day, it’s easy to reactivate if you feel like it’s lost a bit of it’s textured look.

My verdict?

I really enjoy this product! It does what it says it’s going to do, while in a pretty package with a fabulous scent. It is a bit pricey, however, so I likely won’t purchase the full-size until it goes on sale (and until I use up one of the many other volumizers and texturizers I own!).
