A few weeks back, @ultabeauty had a free gift with purchase frenzy, focusing on Platinum and Diamond Ultamate Rewards members, and it was pretty epic! Of course, in order to get most of the free gifts, you had to spend a certain amount. Since it had been days since I had purchased a new foundation (haha!), I thought why not pick up the @narsissist Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation ($49 for 1.01 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bb68O or $24 for .5 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bb69Q) to test out!
What it claims:
๐ 16 hours of fade-resistant wear with medium-to-full, buildable coverage
๐ Transfer-resistant, sweat-resistant
๐ Stays fresh and vibrant, as if just applied
๐ Patent pending technology delivers a uniquely weightless and breathable texture
๐ 33 skin-matching shades to fit all skin tones and undertones
My experience:
๐ I purchased shade Light 4 Deauville (light skin w/golden undertones) and it was a little light, but I could make it work.
๐ I have worn this on two (2) occasions – the first time with a brush and the second time with a sponge. I also used a different primer each time.
๐๐ป๐๐ป Although it’s called a radiant foundation, I would consider it more satin matte – which I am fine with because I am a bit oily.
๐๐ป๐๐ป I agree with the claim of buildable coverage, but I only achieved high-ish medium because I didn’t want to layer a ton on.
๐๐ป๐๐ป I would highly suggest a pore-filling primer because, as it increases in radiance (oiliness) throughout the day, the appearance of texture will be more apparent.
๐๐ป As the day goes on, it settles slightly in between my brows and on the sides of my nose.
My verdict?
I like this foundation. It is lightweight, a good winter shade match and works well with my other products. I just wish it were slightly more radiant and didn’t get a bit cakey on the sides of my nose. I’ll have to keep trying it, but for now, I don’t think I’d repurchase after using it up.
