One of my biggest trouble spots on my face when it comes to makeup application and longevity is my t-zone (specifically my nose). One of the products that I have found can really help make that area look flawless is setting powder, so when I saw that the @beautybakeriemakeup Flour Setting Powder ($24 for .5 ounces at @ultabeauty – https://shopstyle.it/l/bb3AW) had a ton of excellent reviews, I knew I needed to see if it could dethrone my current favorite!
What it claims:
๐ Beauty Bakerie’s vegan, Translucent Face Flour Baking Powder allows you to set your foundation in place for a long day’s wear
๐ This amazing, colorless formula puts the oily face battle to rest and leaves you with a luminescent glow
๐ With an HD feature, it will smooth out and soften your complexion while reducing the appearance of fine lines and imperfections leaving you with a beautiful, matte finish
My experience:
๐ I purchased the shade Oat (Translucent) and it comes in six (6) shades total.
๐๐ป I absolutely love the packaging! The bakery theme is one of the most creative ones I’ve ever seen.
๐๐ป I applied it heavily on my nose, but lightly everywhere else on my face and it did a very nice job of blurring my pores and giving an all over airbrushed look.
๐๐ป It looks fantastic under my eyes and it has done a very good job of preventing creasing.
๐๐ป๐๐ป I have now been wearing this makeup for nearly seven (7) hours and about an hour ago, I began to get more oily than I like in my t-zone.
๐๐ป As my oils began to come through, my pores were no longer blurred.
๐๐ป My makeup hasn’t broken up anywhere and it normally does on my chin and between my eyebrows.
๐๐ป I reapplied the powder and everything, very easily, went back to being matte and poreless.
My verdict?
There’s no mistaking that this is a nice powder. It’s beautifully packaged, blurs pores and keeps me matte (at least for a handful of hours). However, because it doesn’t last as long on my skin as my current favorite and it’s quite expensive for the quantity of product you get, I won’t be repurchasing after I use it up.
