I have had the @itcosmetics Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil ($12 for .0018 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bbBnI and $24 for .005 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bbBnO at @ultabeauty) recommended to me more than once, so when I received a sample of it in a recent order, I was excited to finally put the hype to the test!
What it claims:
🔘 Universal Taupe shade adjusts to your eyebrow color based on pressure applied to make penciling in your eyebrows easy
🔘 Budge-proof formula looks like real hair and adheres to skin for natural-looking brows that last
🔘 Built-in spooley brush delivers a natural, polished look
🔘 Features brow-enhancing ingredients including biotin, lecithin, grape seed, saw palmetto, green tea and antioxidants
My experience:
👍🏻 I can’t say whether this “universal” shade is actually universal or not, but it sure works well for me.
👍🏻👎🏻 I have gotten very used to using a micro pencil, so it was an adjustment not have as precise of an application.
👍🏻 I refuse to use a brow pencil that doesn’t have a spoolie attached. This one does and it’s really good.
👍🏻 I have been wearing it for nearly five (5) hours and haven’t experienced any fading.
👍🏻 Comparing it to my current favorite brow pencil, you get over two (2) times the amount of product for the same price.
My verdict?
I can see why so many people love this brow pencil. It’s a flattering shade (at least on me and those I have seen wearing it), a pretty decent value (in comparison to other higher end brands), seems to have great lasting power and is from a brand I, personally, love. The only potential reason I could find for not purchasing the full size would be my inexperience with a pencil of this shape. Thankfully, there is a generous amount of product in this sample size, so I’ll definitely know by the end if it’s for me.
Have you used this brow pencil? If so, what did you think?
