If a company wants me to buy something from them, all they pretty much have to do is throw glitter and a delectable scent in and I’m adding to cart! Make it affordable and in mini size and I’m likely buying multiples. Obviously, that’s exactly what happened when I saw @colourpopcosmetics’ sister brand, @solbody, come out with minis of their Shimmering Dry Oils ($10 for .88 ounces – https://bit.ly/2qopNsp or $15 for 3 ounces – https://bit.ly/2Ncdbh4). I, of course, also purchased the Body Kabuki ($12 – https://bit.ly/2pvIn25).
What it claims:
🔘 A luxe, lightweight dry oil with next level, multidimensional shimmer
🔘 Infused with coconut, argan, and marula oils for a glistening, good-for-you glow
🔘 Leaves skin drenched in an addictive, tropical coconut aroma
My experience:
🔘 I purchased two (2) shades – Soft Gold and Warm Gold. I settled on those after watching @kathleenlights’ review on all of the shades in the collection.
👍🏻 I have tested Soft Gold on my niece and mom (they loved the shade and the scent) and I have tested Warm Gold on myself (pictured).
👍🏻 The scent is fantastic, but it’s not overpowering. It lasted all day on me, but I couldn’t smell it unless I put my nose up to my arm.
👍🏻 The shimmer lasted all day.
👍🏻 I didn’t experience much transfer at all.
👍🏻 It’s hydrating without feeling one bit greasy. It dries down, but won’t dry out your skin.
My verdict?
If you love to glow as much as I love to glow, I highly recommend this product! Neither of the shades I purchased are at all subtle, so keep that in mind in case you were hoping for something less obvious. They last all day, smell great and carry an excellent price tag – although I think they perform like a much more expensive product.
If you use body glitter, what is your go-to brand?
