Included in the incredibly generous package I received from @pixibeauty last week was the @rachhloves The Layers Highlighting Palette ($24 at @target – https://shopstyle.it/l/9pbG) that I had considered purchasing ever since I watched her video revealing the product, so I knew it had to be the first product I did a solo review on (and you all agreed when I asked what you wanted to see on my Stories!)!
What it claims:
๐ Silky soft formula for the ultimate face glow, and lid hues enhance & add luminosity
๐ Colours curated and designed by Rachel to be mixed together or used solo
My experience:
๐๐ป I have used both Tee and Clutch as cheek, cupid’s bow, brow bone and inner corner highlights and they are both super glowy and beautiful!
๐๐ป I have used Lace on its own as an inner corner and brow bone highlight and it worked very well for both. I also took the suggestion and popped it on top of Tee and Clutch on separate occasions and it absolutely kicked the glow up!
๐๐ป Knit is too dark of a highlight shade for me, but I love that it’s included so that a multitude of skin tones can get use from this. I did, however, try it as an eye shadow and it worked for that!
๐๐ป๐๐ป Zipper, as you can tell by the pan and the swatch, is unique and isn’t for the casual highlight user. However, when used very lightly, it can be quite wearable. When I tried it on my eyelids, it was too powdery to apply with my finger, so I likely wonโt use it often that way.
๐๐ป Lace on top of Clutch lasted over twelve (12) hours!
My verdict?
As I suspected, I am super happy to have this in my collection and I would be saying that same thing even if I had paid for this out of my own pocket! The selection of shades is fantastic, the quality is superb and the value is excellent! If you love @pixibeauty, @rachhloves and/or a great highlighter, you will be satisfied with this purchase!
