Today, I’m testing out the @coverfx Power Play Concealer ($30 for .34 ounces at @ultabeauty – https://shopstyle.it/l/8r1i). I’m a huge sports fan, so when my love of makeup and professional athletics combine in a fun product name, it’s hard for me to resist picking it up!
What it claims:
๐ High performance wear
๐ Weightless, full coverage with all-day, crease-proof, transfer-proof and color-true wear
๐ Available in diverse shades to conceal, contour and highlight any skin tone
๐ Vegan, cruelty free, talc free, paraben free, fragrance free, mineral oil free, gluten free, Alkyl sulfate free and phthalate free
My experience:
๐ I purchased shade N Light 2 (for light to medium skin w/neutral undertones). It’s definitely too dark for me, so I should have purchased N Light 1 (for fair to light skin w/neutral undertones.
๐๐ป Even though the shade being too dark is my fault, the fact that it’s very yellow isn’t. I wish it was more neutral – like it says it is.
๐๐ป I really enjoy the applicator. It’s the right size for under the eye and doesn’t disperse too much product at once.
๐๐ป The coverage is good. I have a couple of concealers with more, but this is definitely high medium/low full.
๐๐ป It doesn’t dry super quickly, which I like because I want to have time to blend it out.
๐๐ป It worked well with all of the products I used underneath and over it.
๐๐ป๐๐ป It looks the tiniest bit dry under my eyes.
๐๐ป๐๐ป It started to come off in the corners of my eyes because I’ve been sneezing and I hate that. However, it happens with almost every concealer I own.
My verdict?
This is a good concealer. I may like it more if the shade was right, but it’s $3 more than my current favorite, so I see no need to repurchase. In order to make sure none goes to waste, I’ll just mix it with a lighter concealer.
Have you tried this concealer? If so, what were your thoughts?
