While I love the impact foundation makes, concealer is really what takes a blank canvas and highlights the areas of your face you want to highlight and conceals the areas you don’t. There are so many varieties out there, so I really pay attention to reviews to be sure I’m not wasting my money on a bad product. One of the most hyped up concealers recently has been the @makeuprevolution Conceal & Define Concealer ($7 for .11 ounces and $10 for .45 ounces (pictured) at @ultabeauty – https://shopstyle.it/l/7Sr3), so I couldn’t wait to try it!
What it claims:
π Ageless. Unisex. Affordable.
π Multiple shades ranging from fair to deep, in a range of undertones
π A lightweight yet full coverage concealer to cover blemishes, even skin tone and counteract dark circles
π A matte finish that won’t settle or accentuate fine lines and pores
π Long wearing intense pigment that can also be used to contour and add definition
π The doe foot applicator allows for a smooth application that wont drag on the delicate skin under your eyes
π Vegan and cruelty-free
My experience:
ππ» The .11 ounce size comes in 50 shades and the .45 ounce size comes in 24 shades.
ππ»ππ» This is actually a repurchased bottle, since I enjoyed it so much the first time around. However, the smaller bottle runs out quite quickly.
ππ» I use shade C6 (for light/medium skin tones with neutral undertone) and it works really well for me.
π I apply it to my under eyes and down the center of my face.
ππ»ππ» I don’t agree that it’s entirely full coverage – more like high medium. If you want higher coverage with only one layer, apply it and then let it “dry” for 30 seconds before blending it out.
ππ» It blends out easily and beautifully.
ππ» Even though it is a matte product, it isn’t drying.
ππ» I notice only the slightest creasing on my under eyes.
ππ» It lasts all day long.
My verdict?
If you have been looking for a high quality, high medium coverage concealer that won’t break the bank, this may be exactly what you need! With the number of shades and longevity it provides me, it’s definitely a winner!
