Try Out Tuesday – @CYOCosmetics Clear Brow & Lash Gel

September 4, 2019

This may be hard to believe, but just a few years ago, I wasn’t even filling in my eyebrows. I wore foundation, concealer, so on and so on, but didn’t touch my brows. Now? They’re the step in my routine that may take the longest, but makes the biggest impact so it has quickly become a necessity. Along with just filling them in, I also set them every time because I can’t imagine putting all that work in to just see them fly all over the place as the day goes on. Today, I’m testing the @cyocosmetics Clear Brow & Lash Gel ($5 for .3 ounces at @walgreens – to see how it compares to my current favorites!

What it claims:
🔘 Flawlessly finished brows and natural looking lashes
🔘 Define, enhance and tame; your partner in crime for perfectly in place brows
🔘 Contains panthenol known for its conditioning; being kind to brows and lashes never looked so good
🔘 Using the shorter bristles for brows and longer for lashes, stroke the brush along the brow or lash to define and shape

My experience:
🔘 I only use this for my brows because I have never wanted something I put on my lashes to make them look natural. If I’m taking the time to apply something to my eyelashes, I want them to look dramatic and fake.
👍🏻 I don’t find that this make my brows too stiff, but they still stay in place.
👍🏻 Even though one side is meant for lashes and the other for brows, I like using both for brows. I use the long bristles to apply the product and the short ones to blend everything together.
👍🏻 I don’t experience much color transfer when applying it and then dipping it into the tube.

My verdict?
My current drugstore favorite may have just been dethroned! Not because this one performs any better, but, on the @walgreens website, it’s $.39 less than it for the same amount of product. So, if I can get the same performance for less money (even if it’s just cents), I’m switching! If you are in the market for a new clear eyebrow gel or have never used one before, but want to give it a go, I highly recommend you try this one from @cyocosmetics!
