Wear Test Wednesday – @givenchy Teint Couture Everwear Foundation

August 14, 2019

I thoroughly enjoy that some brands are finally starting to figure out that the foundation samples they create need to have more than a half face of product in them. Even more so, it’s fantastic when it contains multiple uses and @givenchybeauty did just that with the Teint Couture Everwear Foundation ($52 for 1 ounce at @sephora – https://shopstyle.it/l/6XPX) sample I received with my most recent @sephora order!
What it claims:
🔘 Blurs imperfections, hydrates, and revives the skin’s natural glow
🔘 Its non-oily, buildable texture blends with the skin, leaving a bare-skin sensation
🔘 Built to resist intense days, physical activities, and varying weather conditions, it’s also waterproof and lasts for up to 24 hours
My experience:
👎🏻 The shade range is lackluster. Even though it comes in thirty (30) shades, only three (3) are labeled “Deep.”
🔘 I used the shade Y200 and it was a bit light on me, but with bronzer I was able to make it look acceptable.
🔘 Even though it suggests their foundation brush or your fingers, I applied it with a damp sponge because that’s my preferred method. Thankfully, it blended out beautifully.
👍🏻 One (1) layer of damp sponge application gave me high medium coverage that I was easily able to build up to full coverage on my cheeks.
👍🏻 The natural finish it gave my skin is gorgeous.
👍🏻 I set it with a pressed mattifying setting powder and that, along with all other products I used today, worked extremely well with the foundation.
👍🏻 I have been wearing it for eight (8) hours now and I have yet to blot once. My nose does have a glow to it, but nothing I feel as though I need to touch up.
👍🏻 It settled ever so slightly into my forehead lines initially, but as soon as my skin warmed up to it, those all but disappeared.
👍🏻 There is almost no bunching up on the sides of my nose and only minimal creasing on my chin.
My verdict?
Bravo, @givenchybeauty! This foundation is absolutely stunning! It looks beautiful on the skin, keeps my oils under control and does both for a a very long time. Thank goodness the @sephora sale is coming up soon!
