Wear Test Wednesday – @givenchy Teint Couture Everwear Foundation

August 14, 2019

I thoroughly enjoy that some brands are finally starting to figure out that the foundation samples they create need to have more than a half face of product in them. Even more so, it’s fantastic when it contains multiple uses and @givenchybeauty did just that with the Teint Couture Everwear Foundation ($52 for 1 ounce at @sephora – sample I received with my most recent @sephora order!
What it claims:
๐Ÿ”˜ Blurs imperfections, hydrates, and revives the skinโ€™s natural glow
๐Ÿ”˜ Its non-oily, buildable texture blends with the skin, leaving a bare-skin sensation
๐Ÿ”˜ Built to resist intense days, physical activities, and varying weather conditions, itโ€™s also waterproof and lasts for up to 24 hours
My experience:
๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป The shade range is lackluster. Even though it comes in thirty (30) shades, only three (3) are labeled “Deep.”
๐Ÿ”˜ I used the shade Y200 and it was a bit light on me, but with bronzer I was able to make it look acceptable.
๐Ÿ”˜ Even though it suggests their foundation brush or your fingers, I applied it with a damp sponge because that’s my preferred method. Thankfully, it blended out beautifully.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป One (1) layer of damp sponge application gave me high medium coverage that I was easily able to build up to full coverage on my cheeks.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป The natural finish it gave my skin is gorgeous.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I set it with a pressed mattifying setting powder and that, along with all other products I used today, worked extremely well with the foundation.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I have been wearing it for eight (8) hours now and I have yet to blot once. My nose does have a glow to it, but nothing I feel as though I need to touch up.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป It settled ever so slightly into my forehead lines initially, but as soon as my skin warmed up to it, those all but disappeared.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป There is almost no bunching up on the sides of my nose and only minimal creasing on my chin.
My verdict?
Bravo, @givenchybeauty! This foundation is absolutely stunning! It looks beautiful on the skin, keeps my oils under control and does both for a a very long time. Thank goodness the @sephora sale is coming up soon!
