Throwdown Thursday – Touch in Sol No Poreblem Primer vs. @tatcha_v The Silk Canvas Primer

August 8, 2019

Like most, I want my skin to appear as poreless as possible. So, I put two (2) real hyped up primers to the test today to see which would reign supreme!
@touchinsolus No Poreblem Primer ($18 for 1.01 ounces at @ultabeauty – https://shopstyle.it/l/6Mng) vs. @tatcha The Silk Canvas Primer ($62 for .7 ounces at @sephora – https://shopstyle.it/l/6Mm3)
My experience:
🔘 I wore @touchinsolus on the left side of my face yesterday and @tatcha on the right side. Today, I switched sides because I know that the pores on the right side of my face are larger and I wanted to give both products a fair shot.
🔘 Both days, I used my current favorite foundation (@catrice.us HD Liquid Coverage Foundation – $10.99 for 1.01 ounces at @ultabeauty – https://shopstyle.it/l/6MpR) because I know how exactly how that performs without primer.
My verdict?
Both days, the primer that blurred my pores more, hydrated my skin and made it so there was less foundation bunching on the sides of my nose was the @tatcha The Silk Canvas. However, I prefer the texture and application of the @touchinsolus No Poreblem Primer more. And, even though the The Silk Canvas was more blurring, No Poreblem still did a decent job of smoothing everything out. Makeup applied beautifully on each side. All of that being said, between these two (2) primers, I would say that the @tatcha The Silk Canvas outperformed @touchinsolus No Poreblem. The price difference is staggering though, so if you’re looking for something that still does the job fairly well at a more palatable price point, go with No Poreblem. Plus, the name is super fun to say.
What is your go-to pore-filling primer?
