As you may have seen in my most recent haul post, I purchased, upon recommendation from @thataylaa, the @physiciansformula The Perfect Matcha 3-in-1 Cleansing Balm (normally $13.49 for 1.4 ounces, but currently on sale at @walgreens for $7.77 – https://shopstyle.it/l/6rzL). Cleansing balms are my preferred method of makeup removal, so I was excited to possibly replace my more expensive holy grail with this drugstore option!
What it claims:
๐ Ultra-gentle 3-in-1 cleansing balm that melts away makeup, deeply cleans away impurities and leaves the skin fully supple and hydrated
๐ Antioxidant-packed and enriched with Matcha Green Tea, Bamboo Shoot, and Lotus Extract
My experience:
๐๐ป I thoroughly enjoy the price – especially when itโs on sale.
๐๐ป The packaging is much more travel-friendly than my current holy grail (Cliniqueโs Take The Day Off Balm) because itโs smaller.
๐๐ป The texture is very nice and feels pleasant on the skin.
๐๐ป I used it for the first time last night and it took off all of my makeup – even the several layers of mascara I was wearing, which is where other makeup removers struggle in my case.
๐๐ป It left my skin feeling hydrated and not stripped, but without the residue that most cleansing oils and balms leave behind.
๐๐ป๐๐ป The only difference between my holy grail and this is that the @physiciansformula took just a little bit more rubbing to get everything loosened up. However, for the price, I am willing to put in just a tad more effort.
My verdict:
I am very happy I tested this out! While I still love my holy grail and will still recommend it to people looking for a highly effective cleansing balm, Iโll now be including this product on that recommendation list as well! I will absolutely be stocking up right now because I donโt want to miss out on the sale!
