Since I travel a fair amount for work and occasionally that travel is international, I have had to put together a makeup travel kit that includes multi-purpose items. A bronzer that works as an eyeshadow, a makeup remover that also cleanses and now the @smashboxcosmetics Photo Finish Primerizer – Primer + Moisturizer in 1 ($42 for 1 ounce at @ultabeauty – https://shopstyle.it/l/5t24 or $15 for .5 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/5t7U (the better deal is on the travel size!).
What it claims:
🔘 Plumps & moisturizes with niacinamide & hyaluronic acid
🔘 Sets in seconds so makeup goes on fast
🔘 Skin feels comfortable all day
🔘 Weightless, silky texture
🔘 Smoothes skin, softens dry fine lines & stops makeup from settling into pores
🔘 Vegan and cruelty-free
🔘 I have used this on several occasions underneath a variety of foundations, ranging from dewy to matte.
👍🏻 Today, I paired it with one of my most matte, thick foundations and it made a normally difficult product to blend out glide on effortlessly.
👍🏻 This primer absolutely hydrates, but you wouldn’t think that looking at the very thin texture. However, I think its quick absorbing, weightless feeling is why it would work well for all skin types.
👍🏻👎🏻 I have found that I can’t pair this with a dewy foundation because I will get too oily in my t-zone throughout the day. But, for me, pairing it with a matte foundation is the perfect combination.
👍🏻👎🏻 The price is high, but you can save quite a bit by purchasing the travel size. I know that normally isn’t the case, but for .5 ounces, it’s $15. Therefore, to match the 1 ounce in the full size, you would only be spending $30 for two (2) minis, rather that the $42.
👍🏻 It leaves me feeling just the right amount of moisturized all day long.
Aside from feeling bamboozled regarding the price difference between the travel and full size, I’m a pretty big fan of how this makes my skin look and feel. I also enjoy the 2-in-1 feature and the fact that it does both well. The next time @ulta sends out a coupon or this product goes on sale, I’ll be picking up a backup for when I run out.
Have you tried this primer?
