I have been a long time fan of the @maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation, so when my skin began changing from oily to normal/combination and my foundation desires switched from super matte to glowy, I jumped at the chance to try out its counterpart, the @maybelline Fit Me! Dewy + Smooth Foundation ($7.99 for 1 ounce at @ultabeauty – use this link to shop: https://shopstyle.it/l/40Or).
What it claims:
🔘 Dewy and smooth foundation with SPF 18
🔘 This hydrating foundation smoothes skin’s texture
🔘 Achieves a naturally luminous and radiant finish
🔘 Moisturizing foundation ideal for normal to dry skin
🔘 Dermatologist tested, allergy tested, non-comedogenic and fragrance-free
My experience:
👍🏻 I purchased the shade 120 Classic Ivory and it’s almost a perfect match.
👍🏻👎🏻 It gives me medium coverage with one (1) layer. I was able to build it up slightly on the areas of my face I desire more, but be careful with how much additional product you apply because it can start to look heavy.
👍🏻 Yesterday, I used it with the @pennyandpine T-Zone Mattifier and today I used it with the @tatcha Silk Canvas Protective Primer and it paired well with both.
👍🏻 I wore the foundation for nearly sixteen (16) hours yesterday without blotting my t-zone (the only place I sometimes get oily) and I was so impressed with how it held up! I experienced no fading in any areas of my face.
👍🏻 It didn’t sink into any of my fine lines.
👎🏻 Probably because I used too much product, but all day, it just looked a little makeup-y. You could definitely tell I was wearing foundation.
👍🏻👎🏻 Today, I went a little lighter in quantity used and I can tell it made a difference in how heavy it looked on my skin. However, I had to give up coverage to achieve a more natural look.
My verdict?
I am very happy to report that, for me, @maybelline has knocked it out of the park with both of their Fit Me! line foundations! If you have normal, dry or combination skin, desire a hydrated base without looking greasy, appreciate a good deal and are OK with medium coverage, I think you will love this, too!
