Try Out Tuesday – @pennyandpine Skincare

June 25, 2019

Anytime I get sent free product for review, I feel so incredibly grateful! Even better, however, is when a brand lets me choose which of their products I want to try before sending them my way. That is exactly what @penny_and_pine did and here are my first impressions on the items I selected! Click here to shop all of their products:
✨ Peppermint Exfoliating Cleanser ($22 for 4 ounces at
What it claims:
🔘 Sloughs off dead skin cells
🔘 Removes dirt, excess oil, and makeup
🔘 Calms and soothes irritation
🔘 Delivers an energizing scent
My experience:
👍🏻 With all of the deep cleaning masks I have used over the last couple of weeks, I truly didn’t think my skin could get any smoother. Then I tried this exfoliating cleanser last night. Not only am I obsessed with the peppermint scent, the performance is top notch. I would absolutely repurchase.
✨ T-Zone Mattifier ($48 for 1.7 ounces at
What it claims:
🔘 Reduces appearance of skin imperfections
🔘 Purifies skin and fights blemishes
🔘 Reduces shine and visibility of pores
🔘 Improves overall skin texture
My experience:
👍🏻 I used this product for the first time today and have only had it applied for two (2) hours, so check my Stories later tonight to get an update on its full day performance. In order to test it appropriately, I am wearing one of my most hydrating foundations without any powder in my t-zone. The texture feels promising though because I was dewy prior to applying because of my skincare underneath and it instantly knocked the shine down on my no makeup base.
✨ Lash Growth Serum ($58 for .166 ounces at
What it claims:
🔘 Nourishes the skin surrounding lashes
🔘 Moisturizes and conditions lashes
🔘 Turns weak, damaged lashes into long, thick lashes
🔘 Apply to sparse areas of eyebrows to reduce patchiness
My experience:
🔘 Since I am currently testing out another lash growth product, I am passing this on to a friend to get her review. I have requested that she take before and after photos, so I will post those as soon as the results are worth showing off.
Thank you again to @penny_and_pine!
