Mask Monday – Cherioll Deep Cleansing Blackhead Remover Mask

June 24, 2019

Several months after the peel-off mask trend peaked, I finally tested out the Cherioll Deep Cleansing Blackhead Remover Mask ($10.99 for 2.12 ounces on @amazon – https://shopstyle.it/l/4W2c) that I had purchased during the height! My delay may have been because I was a bit scared (if you don’t know why one would be nervous to test this mask, just search for videos of other people applying and removing it on camera), but last night, I decided the time was right!
What it claims:
🔘 Our black mask works for all skin types – including dry, normal, oily and combination
🔘 Designed to be highly effective, yet gentle enough for everyday use
🔘 Deep cleansing and shrinks pores
🔘 Hyaluronic acid ingredient will make your skin smoother and tender
🔘 Activated charcoal removes blackheads quickly and efficiently while cleaning deep down
🔘 Deeply penetrates the pores to remove acne-causing oil
My experience:
🔘 Per the recommendation of several reviewers, I only applied this mask to the center of my face (chin, nose, sides of nose and middle of my forehead).
🔘 I would highly recommend you apply it with an applicator. My favorite is from @yesto.
🔘 I waited thirty (30) minutes for the mask to dry before I attempted removal.
👍🏻👎🏻 Although I never actually screamed out in pain, I did experience eye watering because it was slightly unpleasant.
👍🏻 Unlike some of the reviews I saw, it peeled off mostly with ease. I had to use a washcloth to clean it off entirely, but most of it came off the first time around.
👍🏻 My skin absolutely felt smoother after and I can tell that it eliminated some of the clogging I had.
My verdict?
Was finally trying this mask worth the build up I had created in my head? Not really. Did it work? Sure. I will use this up, but probably won’t repurchase because it doesn’t seem like something I need in my regimen.
Did you ever try this mask? If yes, what was your experience?
