Wear Test Wednesday – @lancomeusa Matte Shaker High Pigment Liquid Lipstick in Magic Orange

May 29, 2019

Before purchasing the @lancomeofficial Matte Shaker High Pigment Liquid Lipstick in Magic Orange ($22 at @ultabeauty), I had never owned or worn an orange lipstick. However, I was drawn to this shade after seeing many lip swatches online and am wear testing it today!
What it claims:
🔘 A highly pigmented matte liquid lipstick, delivering intense color payoff with a lightweight, second-skin feel that wears comfortably throughout the day without drying
🔘 Pillow-like cushion applicator allows for precise application- no streaks or smudges
🔘 Wear one on its own or mix and match for even more shade options
🔘 For a barely-there stain, lightly dab the cushion applicator onto the lips and for more intensity, dab and swipe the formula onto the lips, building as desired to full coverage
My experience:
👍🏻 I enjoy the packaging because it fits well in any purse I choose to use.
👍🏻 The color is absolutely stunning. I never thought I would love an orange lipstick shade so much, but this one really does it so well.
👍🏻 The applicator is very easy to use.
👍🏻 I have worn it on several occasions, applying it always first thing in the morning. I experience slight transfer onto cups, straws, etc. and normally need to apply another thin layer after eating a meal, but there is always a stain left behind, which makes reapplying not always necessary.
👍🏻 It is very comfortable, so I agree with their claims of it feeling like a second-skin. It isn’t drying at all, which is something I rarely experience in matte, long-lasting lip products.
👍🏻👎🏻 It is a bit pricey, but I got it on sale and have seen them on deep discount in the past, so if you’re interested and don’t want to pay full price, just keep your eye out.
My verdict?
The combination of this formula in this shade has quickly become one of my favorites! The fact that it’s long-wearing, comfortable and can be worn as a light stain or built up to a more opaque color makes it a huge winner in my book!
Have you tried these Matte Shakers? If yes, which shade(s) do you own? If not, but you’re considering it, which shade would you purchase first?
