To say I was excited when @randco contacted me about trying out and posting about some of their products would be a massive understatement! It is a brand I have been wanting to try for a very long time, so was honored when they thought I would be a good representative of their brand! I received two (2) products and today, I am reviewing their Trophy Shine + Texture Spray ($32 for 6 ounces on the @randco website).
What it claims:
🔘 A styling spray that adds the right amount of texture, volume and shine to any hair type
🔘 Hair will look naturally radiant almost instantly
🔘 Vegan and cruelty-free
🔘 Highlighted ingredients: Fuller’s Earth, Sea Kale and Sweet Almond
My experience:
👍🏻 I absolutely love the name and packaging. They do an excellent job on both for all of their products.
👍🏻 The scent is very pleasant.
👍🏻 Photo 2 is before application and photo 1 is after.
👍🏻 Immediately after applying (which I did to my roots, ends…basically everywhere), I notice a boost in shine.
👍🏻 Normally, when I use a shine product, the expectation is that there’s no volume or texture that will accompany it. However, this product is so unique because it really does both!
👍🏻 I have tried it both on curled and straight hair and my positive results are consistent.
👍🏻 I find this product works very well in conjunction with dry shampoo. Even though I love dry shampoo and use it nearly daily, it dries out my hair and can make it appear slightly dull. Using this product adds shine back, without any greasy look.
👍🏻 It doesn’t leave my hair feeling sticky or snarly.
👎🏻 It doesn’t give me the texture I crave all day long, but I’m guessing that’s because of the length and weight of my hair. I can imagine it would work wonders all day long on shorter hair.
👎🏻 It’s a bit pricey.
My verdict:
I really enjoy this product! It’s different than anything I’ve ever tried and that’s impressive all on its own. What’s even better is that it does both (add shine and texture) quite well! I will absolutely consider repurchasing when this runs out.
