Wear Test Wednesday – @kissproducts Gel Fantasy Nails

April 3, 2019

I have always loved the look of long nails. However, I have rarely been able to achieve them naturally because as soon as I have spent weeks coddling them so they grow strong, one breaks. Plus, at some point, it gets difficult to do every day tasks if they get too long. So, I thought, after seeing a few rave reviews, why not flash back to my childhood and buy fake nails at the drugstore that I apply myself! I picked up the @kissproducts Gel Fantasy Nails in the color Tight Fit ($7.99 at @walgreens). I chose the Short Length so that I could still live my life.
What it claims:
🔘 Ready-to-wear gel delivers layers of ultra-shine
🔘 Ultra smooth finish
🔘 Two (2) ways to wear (pink gel glue or mega-adhesive tabs) – both included and both wear for up to one (1) week
🔘 28 nails included
My experience:
👎🏻 When I opened the package, I was frustrated to see that the glue top had been damaged beyond repair. Thankfully, I had purchased another package of the same product (different color) and was able to use that glue.
🔘 I first applied them last Saturday night (March 23rd) using the pink gel glue that’s included.
👍🏻👎🏻 They applied easily, but I had a somewhat difficult time quickly finding the gel nail that matched the size of mine. As you may be able to tell in the picture, a couple look oversized.
👍🏻👎🏻 I went three (3) days with no issues. On day four (4), one popped off (no pain) while I was looking through my purse. If you carry the glue with you, it is a quick fix.
👍🏻👎🏻 Throughout the six (6) full days I wore them, four (4) nails came off at different times. Again, it was a simple fix – as long as you have the glue with you.
My verdict:
I really enjoyed using these! They’re easy to apply, have no dry time (the real selling point for me) and last long enough to make the minimal effort worth it. I won’t use them every time I do my nails, but I’ll likely always have a set in my collection just in case I need my nails to look great in a hurry.
Have you tried these or any other brand? What did you think?

I love the Kiss Press On ones over the glue on ones; I’ve had better luck with them! Love this bright color!

Good to know! I assumed they’d be less long-lasting with the adhesive tabs, but I’ll try using those next time instead of the glue. Thanks for the tip! ❤️
